It is always fun and also engaging trying to name the feathered family members, I know. I only currently have 8 but some of them are still nameless, or they have interchangeable names. Does E have some polish in her? I noticed her top fluff of feathers. I had two white polish, Thing 1 and Thing 2, but thing 2 went to heaven courtesy of a hawk (no longer free ranging unfortunately, but lost two chickens that way) So, now we have to rename Thing 1 because, well, it sounds sad without 2. I can't wait to see the winning names!
We have a lot of chickens with afros, they may have come from Polish backgrounds haha, but the two we mated together were Ameraucana and Easter Egger, the white ones with afros were Leghorns mated with Easter Egger.
So sorry to hear about Thing 2!! :'( That's terrible and now it's too dangerous to free range. It must make you so sad to have to keep the girls cooped up now... :'(
