Tellus, the warrior Mana

Source

Elder Frixo about to die called his grandson, Tellus. He knew that it was inevitable that his grandfather would die. I was very sick and there was nothing to do. Her grandmother, Praxitea, cried inconsolably and saw her grandson with anguish.

-See son. I have sent for you to call, because I want to leave in peace. Said Frixo.

-Grandpa do not speak. You will not go anywhere. Tellus answered with regret.

-No, son. I must confess that you are not my grandson.

Dismayed by the news Tellus hastily called her grandmother:

-Grandmother !, Grandmother! Grandpa is raving.

Grandma sits next to her and takes Grandpa's hands and says

-Listen, son.

Tellus saw him with watery eyes and said:

-Go on.

-You are not even of our race. Have you ever wondered why you are taller and stronger than others? Have you never seen how others look at you? My son, you belong to the Tellumons race, an ancestral race, as old as the earth itself. Your parents were murdered by a race that calls itself tenebris humanoids, they seem human but they are empty, dark beings, they absorb the vital energy: the Mana. Your parents' village owned a lot of this vital energy. They, you, are the manna itself.

-Manna. Tellus asked, still not understanding.

-Yes, Mana. It is an element that abounded in the earth millions of years ago and is now only found in Terrans. These tenebris humanoids beings have been made with all that remains and you must stop them. Their greed has led them to keep destroying and they will not rest until they get all the manna of the earth.

-But grandpa, why do you tell me that, if I'm just a simple farmer? Tellus replied.

-Do not. You are not. In you is the last piece of Mana. You are Maná. The race you belonged to was pure Mana. Said Frixo.

-But how? He asked again without understanding Tellus.

-You have populated our whole village. Here you could not harvest and now we can do it thanks to you. And the humanoid tenebris will come for you. They are already here.

His desperate grandmother covered him with a strange cloak that immobilized him and saw a strange darkness overtake his village. He saw how the ground began to sprout ears and attacked the villagers and destroyed everything. You could hear the desperate screams. These spikes looked for something. It was not a lake. It was Tellus and his source of vital energy.

When he left the cloak his grandmother had wrapped him in and saw his village destroyed, Tellus did not know what to
do. Suddenly he saw a little light and came closer. To her surprise, her grandmother was dying and told her:

-We take care of you and protect you until the last moment. Now it is your duty to stop the tenebris humanoids. Go to the Vigilare village and look for Cherub. He will tell you what to do. That said, the light was completely extinguished.

Tellus went to Vigilare. As he made his way to that place he had never heard of, he thought of the differences his grandfather had mentioned.

After several days he came to the Red village and was amazed to see those little beings, they were a kind of bird with many eyes on the wings. When they saw Tellus they marveled, they had never seen a Manna so close.

They took him to where Cherub was. He told him about his race, especially what they had done to make nature exist, as well as all beings. Cherub gave him the weapons he needed to fight and sent for Prax, the Vigilare's best fighter, to accompany him in his fight.

Both started on the road and as they were walking, great warriors were annexing

Balames: Excellent warriors. They were in charge of guarding the four elements. They had faced the tenebris many times and repelled them. His skills consisted of flying and his shields consisted of a strange mineral.

Korreds: Elves who could see in the darkness of tenebris and thus had removed them from their village. They were small dwarfs did not reach 70 cm. They had dark skin and their eyes were bright red.

Pixies: Small dwarfs with green and pointed ears. They could hear the darkness approaching. Due to their small stature they lived under the earth. They were metallic shiny complexion.

Fenrer: A kind of wolf. His skin was covered with a black coat like the same tenebris. They were confused with the same tenebris and managed to beat him in battle.

All these races with exceptional qualities allowed Tellus to gather a great army. And I was fighting the tenebris. The closer he got to his land, Tellus became more powerful. His skin shone more and when going through the areas that the tenebris had turned into dark they were going to green again.

Upon arriving at his place of origin, Tellus saw how it had been destroyed and from his eyes came tears that fell on the ground and became beautiful and luminous pastures. So far his army and no one had seen Tellus do something similar.
Rex tenebris mortis the leader and absolute master until now of all the earth had never been defeated. Seeing the tears become sacred grass. He sent all his troops to battle.

They fought for three days. Rex tenebris thought that at nightfall he could defeat them, but it was not like that, the army of Tellus knew how to fight very well in the dark.

Upon being besieged in his castle Rex Tenebris Mortis proposed Tellus a fight. Rex intended to kill him as he did with his parents, but he had to have him as close as possible and bury in his heart the dark dagger and from his chest came out all the light.

Tellus accepted.

With deception he wrapped him in a familiar atmosphere. Tellus when not having near to Prax, that was the one that freed it of the spells, succumbed to the power of Rex and this buried the dagger in the heart of Tellus. Everyone seeing their leader die began to fight harder, but the darkness gained more power.

The army of Tellus was decimated. Prax saw each of them fall with great anguish. Being cornered of the body of Tellus began to emerge a kind of fog that soon became a beam of light, was water or fire, could not be distinguished well. It was a kind of whirlwind. Everyone was surprised. Suddenly the tenebris began to evaporate and others became small dry leaves.

Rex Tenebris could not believe what his eyes saw. He cried out in fury. And he went up to the corpse and buried the dagger again:

-Can not be! The legend can not be true! You will not beat me!

When the dagger was buried again, another whirlwind came out of Tellus's abdomen. The dagger, instead of going through Tellus's abdomen, reversed itself and stuck in Rex Tenebris's heart, from which a black light sprang. Rex Tenebris fell apart in his own darkness.

All were free at the end of the darkness, but very sad about the death of Tellus. One of the elders seeing the sadness said:

-Tellus is not dead. He is a Supreme Being. Being one of the few, it must be shared between this plane and the other. He must first prove his worth here on earth and that shows him to us to echo his presence. His race had to be extinguished so that evil could not take over them. Manna is a superior race, belongs to the oldest gods, when the gods walked the earth. Tellus was not a being, he was the Creator Being. And when we need your help he will come back.

Wow! What a rich history for the land of Chibera! Such epic details and what an incredible battle-story; I love seeing in my mind's eye dagger turning back on Rex. Very cinematic!

Regards! I love these stories and recreating them seems to me an excellent writing exercise. It's true, history is very dynamic. Grateful for your fellow.
