RE: There is something big coming for Steem..... Chibera

I am all for an MMORPG integrated into the steem blockchain! Between Steem Monsters and this, there's nothing but good times ahead! I look forward to seeing more games on steemit and will definitely be trying this one. Not a fan of the graphics, but I do understand it's all prototype, I'm just spoiled. Definitely looking forward to see what it'll look like when it's done!

My all time favourite MMORPG to this day is still EverQuest. There was a level of difficulty to this game that I've not been able to get with any other MMORPG's, and have mostly abandoned the MMORPG genre for years now. I've pretty much tried them all, even the free ones. Everything is about instanced zones dungeons and zones these days.

Lost Dungeons of Norrath introduced "instanced dungeons" which was...relatively okay, but I always enjoyed the open-world aspect (well, open zones, really).

Getting to a dungeon and having to do a 'camp check' to see if someone is after the same target as me wasn't always fun but waiting my turn and locking down the area until I got what I wanted was always rewarding.

However; I am not sure I could put those kinds of hours into gaming these days but if my new job is more seasonal, I'll definitely be able to game it up in the winter.

The last "MMORPG" that I played that I feel meets my standards when it comes to "server size" or "player limits" is EVE Online, because everyone is all in one "space". There's no realms/servers. Of course, the map is also massive being in outer space, but being able to encounter every player in the entire game is a big plus in my books. Probably not exactly doable for many games, as I can imagine the resource hog the game could become.
