♪ Guess what we're doing today! ♪ We are making a new dog treat recipe! Of course, you guys will probably can tell by the title of this video. We are making... A dog version of 'Puppy Chow' or 'Muddy Buddies' whatever it is you guys like to call it? We are going to make a version of this for the dogs. Is super easy, super fun... Oh my goodness! If you guys are new here, this is Shelby, this is Memphis, my name is Jess. We love making dog treats! We love making videos with the Huskies! Today we're going to make... ♪ Some treats! ♪ If you are new here, don't forget to hit that 'SUBSCRIBE' button and click that bell to turn 'ON' notifications. You will known when we upload fun new treat videos! There will be some links down below and up in the cards above to all our other treat videos. Enough blabber! Let's get to it! Step one (1) of this recipe, we are going to make a simulated powder sugar. We're not using powder sugar because the dogs don't need more sugar then necessary. We are actually going to take some unsweetened flaked coconut. We are going to pulverize it, in my little 'Kitchen Aid' chopper here. Then, turn it into basically a fine dust, so that is kind of look like, powder sugar. Although is not powder sugar. Also you guys, I will put some 'Amazon' affiliate links down below, to some of the things you will see me use in this video. Yes! This is the 'Nerdy Nummies' melter. Those of you guys that watch 'Ro' (Rosanna Pansino) I noted that a lot of you said that the last time we used it in a video. Super awesome! Tweet at her and let her known we're using it! Maybe she'll collaborate with us and make some dog treats with us! That would be amazing! Anyway, let's make some powder coconut flakes! Okay, we're going to take one (1) cup of the coconut flakes and put them into the chopper thing, mini food processor... Oh! There's dog hair in there! There's gonna be dog hair in your treats! Is that okay with you? I mean, I know there's dog hair in everything we do! Anyway, I'm going to put the lid into this and turn it into a powder. There's what our powdered coconut is going to look like. You can also add a little bit of unrefined coconut flour as well just to give it a little more of that powder sugary look. What? Want this? She's like: "I would eat the whole bowl!" Not yet! Not yet! Onto the next step! Next, we need one (1) cup of... CAROB CHIPS! These are NOT chocolate! This is NOT CHOCOLATE! This is CAROB! CAROB! NOT CHOCOLATE! You got that and we all got that! I know, the comments are like crazy! "DON'T GIVE YOUR DOGS CHOCOLATE!" Is NOT CHOCOLATE! is CAROB! CAROB! We need one (1) cup of unsweetened carob chips. We're going ahead and add that into our melter here. You want to try one of these? I know you like these (carob) by themselves. Like to try one? How about you Shelby? Shelby is like: "Ain't like them by themselves!" Here, you want one? You like one? No? How about... Shelby, would you like a piece of cereal? Would you like some 'Rice Chex?' Shelby? You don't even want a 'Rice Chex?' She's like: "Not until we get out the dip guys!" "Not until we get out the dip!" Now, with the carob chips we're also going to add about two (2) tablespoons of coconut cooking oil, which will actually going to pour in here because, I can pour the peanut butter in here and then will come out easier! Pour the oil in here... Now, we need half (1/2) a cup of peanut butter. This is the part, I'm sure Shelby will like! You like everything, but we have to give something that Shelby likes. Alright, we now have the carob chips, peanut butter and coconut oil in the little warmer. We are going to warm all the stuff together. While that is getting prepared, I had measured out six (6) cups of 'Rice Chex' cereal. Yes, I'm using 'Rice Chex!' Again, these are treats. Not something that is meant to be a meal replacement for your dogs. Is not something they need to eat all the time. I have two (2) dogs and these stuff will keep for a good two (2) weeks out on the counter. It will keep for probably over a month in the refrigerator, so I'm making a lot of it, because I have two dogs. They do eat a lot of treats. These are nice little size treats... No! These one's for Shelby Shelby hasn't got anything yet! Would you like some 'Rice Chex' with dip? ♪ 'Rice Chex' with dip! ♪ Oh man! Peanut butter dip on cereal! Was it good? She's like, 'Hold on! I'll get to settle down, look at it and decide if it's good!" Well, we know she likes the peanut butter part of it. Anyway, as I said I measured six (6) cups of this. As always you guys, with these recipes if you want to make less or more, you can always cut the recipes to half or double them. For this it would pretty much turn the same if you cut it straight in half or quarter. However you want to do it, in case you wanted to make less of it. Another thing I wanted to mention is, realistically if you want to eat this? You can! Is not going to be very sweet because there's no sugar in it. But, all the ingredients we are using in today's treat video, there are human grade people ingredients. So, if you want to eat the dog version of 'Puppy Chow,' by all means, go right ahead! Alright, let's get to melting some stuff! A sidenote: I choose to melt these in my little candy melter. You can also put this in a bowl and melt it in the microwave. Just do it like in one (1) minute intervals at the time and stir them in between. You can also use a double boiler, you can also melt it over the stove. Whatever is easy for you, I just love this little thing that the dogs got me for Christmas! So, I'm using that! Alright! We have our carob, peanut butter and coconut oil melted together very nicely. The next thing we're going to do is slowly pour this on top of this. Then, we are going to take our Christmas spatula, because why not? We are going to fold it together gently because we don't want to break all of the cereals. Are you ready for this? Let's do it! Slowly pouring and kind of moving around... Slowly fold it... We got this! Like I said, just kind of gently... You can also use a baking spoon for this. A spatula seems to work good, cause you can scrape the stuff off the sides. Are you waiting ever so patiently? She's like: "Just drop a piece!" "Just drop one (1) piece and I'll eat it!" Shelby has also decided to return and see what's going on here! I know it smells good! Here look! Look! I'll give you a sticky piece! Please don't take it on the carpet thought... Want a sticky piece? "Oh! A sticky piece is good!" "Oh man! That piece is good!" How about you? Want a sticky piece? "Oh man!" Good stuff? Shelby is like: "This is what we're doing?" "I'm totally in for this!" I know, I got some on my fingers! I got to keep stirring it before it gets solid! We got to stir it and put this stuff on it. If you end up with what tends to seem like there's a lot of the mix in the bottom, You can always add a little bit more of the cereal. I think, mine's is a pretty good mixture. I'm going to let this sit for about ten (10) minutes. Kind of firming up a little bit. You don't want it to firm up too much because One (1), you will have to shake it in a bag. and put the topping on it. But you also want to put it in the bag just like that because is going to make a giant mess. We're going to let it sit for a few minutes. Once you let the mixture sit for a little bit, you can also chill it for a bit if you want to. The next thing we're going to do... There's two (2) different ways to go about this. You can either take and put your coconut dusty stuff right in the bowl and kind of stir it, or you can use a little 'Zip Block' bag and shake it around in there. I have just over a cup of this ready to go. Hopefully it will be enough. If not, I'm going to use as I said before, a little bit of coconut flour. Then add that as well. What you think? They are like: "We're ready for treats!" "We're tired of waiting, but ready for treats!" Alright! We have all of this in the bag and we're going ahead and pouring this right in here. And just, start shaking! Ahh! We did it! We made 'Puppy Chow' for dogs! Check it out! Is all nice and coated! What you think? This is the real test! Will Shelby eat it? There you go Shelby! Coconut and peanut butter and carob? What you think? What you think? I know, you'll eat it! You want another one? Want one more? Oh! Shelby likes it! We know is a WIN! Well, there you have it you guys! "Puppy Chow' or 'Muddy Budies', whatever the heck you want to call it... For dogs! I believe it was a success! As you can see, I put it in an air tight container. That way I can keep it in the refrigerator so it will stay longer. These actually would make pretty good training treats as well, because they're small. So, it's not a really... You do like it, don't you? Is not a really big treat, but a nice little small treat. That's pretty cool! I'm glad how it turned out! Now, I need to make 'Puppy Chow' for people, cause now I want 'Puppy Chow!' Aww! Alright you guys! We hope you enjoyed today's video! If you have suggestions for other treats you would like to see us make, leave them down in the comments below. As I said before... Up in the cards above or down in the video description below, there will be links to all our other treat videos which we have a lot of them... Like a lot of them... Want more? One more? "Heck yeah! I want one more!" Want one more? One more? "Oh! Delicious! Delicious!" It smells good! Smells really coco-nutty! Good stuff? Alright guys! We hope you enjoyed today's video and as always... Thanks so much for watching! Thanks for subscribing! Stay positive and dream big! We will see you again soon! Is a WIN? Shelby says: "Is a WIN!" I see you are licking your chops! She's like: "I would eat a whole bowl of that!" Yeah? I'll bet you would! I'll bet you would! Aww...
