Hi! I realised you upvote a lot of my content so I decided to check out your blog and it's nice :)

I'm 18 years old this year and I only picked up chess last year! My mates couldn't believe I didn't even know how a knight moved! I have 2 friends who both play chess competitively who taught me a little and within a week I was able to lose many consecutive games on chess.com and fall to under 900elo ;)

Fast forward a few months, I've learnt most of the basics and a few "tactics" and I've beaten some of my other novice friends! However, took me another 6 games before I won my first chess.com game haha.

Chess is definitely something you can pick up overnight, takes many years of dedication to just become alright at it haha

However, once you get the hang of things it's a very fun and exciting game! :)
