Computer-Generated Chess Problem 01807

in #chess5 years ago

A new if not unique KRBBN vs kbpp chess construct composed autonomously by Chesthetica using the Digital Synaptic Neural Substrate (DSNS) computational creativity approach. It doesn't use endgame tablebases, neural networks or any kind of machine learning found in traditional AI. Depending on the type and complexity of the problem desired, a single instance of Chesthetica running on a desktop computer can probably generate anywhere between one and ten problems per hour.

Chesthetica v10.57 : Selangor, Malaysia
White to Play and Mate in 5 : 2017.12.24 7:37:57 AM
Solvability Estimate = Difficult

White is over a rook's worth in material but the precise win in this position still needs to be found. Do you think you could have composed something better with these pieces? Share in the comments and let us know how long it took you. By the way, if you're tired of international chess, maybe try Switch-Side Chain-Chess instead.
