Chess Blitz of the day.- Carlsen vs Anand.
CHESS BLITZ OF THE DAY
Tournament:
FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship 2014, Dubai.
Players:
Magnus Carlsen
Kasparov himself trained Carlsen for a year in 2009/10, although his styles can not be more different. Carlsen presumes to work little out of tournaments, often choosing seemingly harmless openings, but over and over again he outshines his opponents starting from even or even inferior positions. Many consider him the best finalist in history, and his technical skills and Nordic coolness conceal a fierce will for victory.
Viswanathan Anand
Anand won the World Championship for FIDE playoffs in 2000 but was not considered the World Champion by most chess fans until 2007-08, when he demonstrated his dominance first in a Candidate tournament and then in a match Against Vladimir Kramnik. He managed to defend the title against Veselin Topalov in 2010 (winning the last game with black) and Boris Gelfand in 2012 (winning in the playoff games), falling defeated in 2013 by Magnus Carlsen.
