CHESS BLITZ OF THE DAY
Tournament: FIDE World Blitz Championship.
The World Championship of fast chess and blitz 2014 takes place in Dubai. The 15th of June was the opening ceremony and the tournament ended on June 21, 2014. 15 rounds, 15 minutes + 10 seconds was the time control.

In January 2010, Liem ranked 93rd in the list of the top 100 chess players in the world and among the top 10 in the youth category of FIDE, with Elo of 2647, the highest achieved by a chess player from Vietnam.
He has competed for more than 10 years and his excellent achievements are the result of a long process of hard work and experiences of contests with talented chess players such as Arthur Kogan of Israel and russians Evgeny Bareev, fourth in the world, and Alexander Khalifman, former world champion. He has also learned by himself through the exchange of information and competitions on the Internet with international chess players and the study of magazines and newspapers.
He was a child prodigy who excelled at age five memorizing the capitals and the population of all the countries of the world, with barely 13 obtained the title of Gran Master being baptized like "Mozart of Chess" by Washington Post. His progress did not stop there and on January 1, 2010, at age 19, he became the youngest player in history to reach the world number one. Its difference of Elo on its rivals continued increasing demonstrating a superiority that was not seen since the times of Garry Kasparov.
