Cheerios Launches "Buzzcoin"
One of the most popular cereals in the world is Honey Nut Cheerios. It appears as though cryptocurrency is influencing how General Mills (Cheerios’ parent company) chooses to advertise the brand.
The cereal recently uploaded a Youtube video where rewards are labeled “Buzzcoin,” similar to the way that cryptocurrency projects are described. The rewards program also utilizes QR code technology. It is clear that while Cheerios might not be creating their own crypto, they certainly are attempting to take advantage of cryptocurrency terms and buzzin order to market their products.
