You can still get hot feeds if you type in the URL. For example https://steemit.com/hot/steem for #steem tag.

OR simply https://steemit.com/hot/ for content with all tags

    Thanks for the tip! However, many will not use this feature anymore so finding new content will be harder unless your in that particular community. Maybe they will add it back 😀
