What's up STACKERS!
So I'm up late at night 12:00 A.M in Las Vegas having one of those "moments of clarity" while going through my large portfolio of Cryptocurrencies. 💰
The current price of Bitcoin is at $17,200 and it had a nice run of about %11 today while being very stagnant for the last few weeks as all the money went into ALT Coins. 📊
I'm thinking there is going to be a shift happening soon and that lots of money will start moving into Bitcoin and Litcoin, away from ALT coins just for a short period of time. 😳
Don't get me wrong, I tend to HODL most of my coins and do take some profits at times but rarely unload all my positions (don't that what smart people do) but today I took some profits and went back into Bitcoin and Litcoin.
There are reason why I did this, Bitcoin will have big news in the coming weeks... the lightning network, institutional money, and influx of newbs coming into the markets... but something is telling me that we can see Bitcoin Dominance rise back up to 50% (at current total market cap) that would put bitcoin around $22,000. 📈
In the next 30-45 days... I see Bitcoin and Litcoin rising fast. Most of the new "Institutional Money" will be heading into them. (I'm not going to bring up ripple!) 🤣
This is just my opinion, if I'm wrong... I don't think it will hurt my portfolio much but these types of "Gut Feelings" tend to come out of no where from time to time.
What are your thoughts, can we continue to see the Boom of ALT Coins or can we start seeing a small selloff and people going back into Bitcoin? ... or even better yet, everything continuing to go up! 🤑
Would love to hear your thoughts? P.S. Is it me or is it also everyone else thats have a hard time sleeping as of late because all we think about is Crypto 24/7! 😅🤣

I think the time when bitcoin goes one direction and the altcoins go the other is ending. From now on bitcoin will more and more behave just like another coin.

For some reason I feel a bit better with a higher BTC dominance. I took some profits also yesterday, especially from those coins with a the most runnup like ADA. TBH if I would not have to power down I would have taken some profits from Steem, too probably but that is also like pissing in the well you are drinking out.
Ripple can go back to 20 cent for all what I care.
We think alike! I took major profits at Cardano and Tron yesterday, Still have positions but thats all "house" money now. Steem is holding steady, I don't mind if Steem hangs out for a bit around $4-$6 for a few weeks and do some consolidation then shoot up from there :)

Am more excited by the alto in opportunities - eg I own sia which has doubled overnight - but I think everyone should own a bit of bitcoin - just in case

I think Bitcoin will rise in the near term, long term I think alt coins will dominate. Just my two cents.

Frankly, I am surprised by how much dominance the bitcoin still has. With the fees and the constant shit-flinging, I don't know why anyone would want to do anything with it.

Your thoughts are logical. I think it would be healthy if 20-30% of the marketcap coins top 2-10 would for the largest part would go to BTC and the rest to > top 50 coins.
Greed has decreased BTC dominance in my opinion. BTC just does not go x10 in the short-term. Newcomers want this x5, x10, x100 so usually sell off their BTC to chase those insane profits. The story ends at some point either with not having found those profits and being disappointed or actually having made those profits. More people would like to find a bit more safe haven for their profits, but don't want to go out of the crypto space. A store of value like BTC (or maybe LTC and Monero?) seems like a good option then.
After a while in BTC people get bored and will start going for the alts again :-P

@stackin I Like LItecoin a lot and have been focusing there lately. I don't own any currently because Binance is not taking new registrations, but TRON could be BIG because of TRON Dogs. I will look you UP when I come up to VEGAS again Soon.......

I would go with alt coins rather then BTC ... BTW is pretty much outdated and so many new & innovative good coin & token coming up that BTC will have difficulties to keep up with their fast growth
Also most of the altcoins technology is gonna be a lot better then the one of BTC

Yeah but there will be the “flipping” soon. Hundreds of billions of institutional money will go in bitcoin first and many we’ll sell alts and go back in bitcoin. This will happen pretty soon, the bitcoin will fall again and back to alts lol

Well, I believe institutional money will come pouring in this year given all the hype of crypto currencies. While we might be able to make short term profits, I'm still holding on to a long term perspective. Quite sure ADA and the other altcoin markets will see a huge run up this year.
Totally agree, most institutional money will go into bitcoin and Litecoin first and trickle down 😀
