I've seen this picture many times. While I'd love for us to still be in the "awareness stage", I think the "mania" stage more accurately reflects where we're currently at. If the "mania" phase is hallmarked by public adoption, then just look to no other place than the app store. Coinbase is the #1 trending app right now with tons of new money flowing in from people hoping to catch the wave up. Also, media attention. Check. If you go on Bloomberg, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, WSJ, you can bet they're covering crypto currency. And lastly Greed. Double check. These +100% gains people are experiencing on a monthly basis has perverted people's senses of a reasonable investment return. Now I'm not saying we should just be expecting 7-10% you'd expect on an index fund.... but when you hear people complaining that their coin did not rally 30% this week... that's a moment of pause for me.

Definitely I could be wrong and we may very well be in just the "awareness" stage. But when everyone's making a ton of money, I think it's important to step back and reassess how far we've come. Play devil's advocate. And take some profits along the way. Stay safe out there fellow Steemians ;)
