Renovation of Property in Mbale Uganda, a Place of Refuge for Orphans and Street Children
My company recently donated a sum of money to the organisation https://delightyouthbrassband.org/ for the renting of a property to help disadvantaged youths. Now with their own initiative they are renovating the property, to make it suitable as a functioning centre. My company will in the long run provide solar panels to them to help cut down the cost of electricity.
I spent some time in Mbale on my way to and from the Bududda (an hour and a half east) and loved vibrancy of the people and community. I can't wait to go back. Are solar panels what most home and businesses are using? I don't recall seeing many power plants on my drive from Entebbe. Keep up the great work you're doing!
I think that most people are on the grid in Mbale, but solar is the way to go for self sustainability for sure. Thanks for your kind message.
