MORE BOOKS, NOT CODEIN 6/6/2018

Some Books Leave Us Free And Some Books Make Us Free -- Anonymous

As a teenage lad i always had the opportunity to visit my dads library often and each time i did was so intrigued at the how the books where well cataloged. This colourful and orderly arrangement was what always got me going back to that library and plus the fact that the place was always quiet. One day, for the first time after a long stir i a picked up a book from the shelve title i found very catchy. I can not remember the name of the author bit i do know with clarity of mind it was titled: Just a minute.

I remember the author started with an appealing story line and i was completely lost carefully reading every letters of this book. I could not stop reading till i got to the last letter on the last page. Life never remained the same for me after i dropped that book that day. I made some mental adjustments and began to put to work some the things i learnt and i thus improved in so many ways and swift grew a better person.

Guess what!
That was the first personal development book i ever read and ever since the journey of self discovery and impactful, intentional living had been phenomenal.

There are certain things that would never work well for your life until you are mindful and intentional about the friends you keep, the books you read and the environment you expose yourself to.

Am my quest for more i also read the book: WHY ASK WHY by John Mason and it was indeed a game changer for me.

What was the first personal development book you ever read?

We need more readers now than ever for a better, green society. The leaders of tomorrow i guess are the readers of yesterday and today.
The world we live in now is more interested in what value you have to offer to make your sphere of contact better than you met it. We need more Einsteins today.

In this vein we, TEAM LPC would be giving out 1000 plus personal development books to a catchment area (to teenagers) here in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

The LEADERS READ is aimed at pointing this generation of teenagers to the values residual in books. We will feel safer if those ones are reading and reading the right things. Mr Godwin Kalu (Captain)

We are aiming at 1000 personal development books so far the support we have received as been phenomena.

This project would be on the 6th of June 2018 and we so much look forward to it.
