Restoring faith in humanity one family at a time

So, browsing the internet I went on a hunt to see if there is still any good in this world. I was surprised to see that there is a new organisation that is looking at doing just that. But they are doing it in a different way which manages to grab you in the feels.

There is a website called www.letshelp.co.za (yes south african based) which is trying to help an elderly couple who is battling in life. The husband (65yrs old) went into hospital for a hernia repair. He ended up with blood clots on his lungs which resulted in a month in hospital and a ridiculous bill which they cannot afford to pay. The wife (60yrs old) has had heart conditions in the past and is on chronic medication herself. They both get government pensions to attempt to pay their way. Unfortunately these pensions cannot cover the costs of the medical bills. What got to me when reviewing the site and contacting Lets Help, is I found out they are living without basic utilities. They have no power nor electricity yet they push on day by day to try make things work.

On the website is a South African bank account, but after contacting them I found there are ways for international individuals to donate.

The site is currently running a competition where the owners of the site are willing to raffle off a graphics card, xbox one or a ps4 to the winner for anyone who donates the equivalent of 10 dollars. For each 10 dollars they get a ticket which enters them into the draw. They are also running a seperate competition where for 5 dollar donations you get entered into a competition to win a game. Should you enter for the console you automatically get 2 entries to the game. I contacted them and asked them if they are willing to run the competition internationally and they are willing to purchase the console or game via amazon and have it shipped internationally.
