OUTREACH TO THE ORPHANAGE. COMING UP THIS MONTH

Our project is tagged "Makeachildsmile" and it cuts across reaching out to children generally especially those in the orphanages. In actual fact, a child is a child and they are all potentials for greatness. The primary thing that differentiates some kind of children from the others is the type of care they are exposed to while growing up.

Somewhere in Africa is where I grew up, I could tell that we don't all grow up the same way with the same kind of care looking at my childhood. Comedians here will always crack jokes on the difference between a child being brought up and a child being raised. The truth is you can grow up just by the aid of eating, even if it's not balanced diet as it were, but being raised is not just about eating balanced diet, it also gives you right information based on the exposure to life realities on TV and other media platforms, relevant teachers and life coaches being involved in one's life.

Some of the orphanages here are really struggling to raise these children as there are no adequate funds to take care of them.

My team and I recently had a closed door session where we outlined a plan to empower these children, not just by feeding them, but giving them what to feed on.

Our organization is Joyful faces and we are handling these orphans under the project "Makeachildsmile". The goal is to put a lasting smile on the face of the children.

These project is steemit inspired as funds from these post and subsequent posts on this event will be used to acquire materials and pay the trainers who are going to mentor the kids.

Our goal:

Train every child in all orphanage homes in ibadan, Nigeria especially those from the age 8 and above, on skills which includes, hair-styling, hand-knitted sweat shirts making, music coaching, language classes (French to be specific), bead making and hand band making.

Materials are to be provided for these children to enable them fully actualize the their talents and learned skills.

At the end of the training:

A ready market will be made available for the crafts, in order to raise money for the home all by themselves.

At least 10 children would have been fully empowered through the intensified training that will last for nothing less than 5 weekends.

The home can effectively stand on their own through generated income from the children.

Others to handle the training are not steemians yet but I believe after the program, they will see through the path of steemit as the greatest or best Avenue for their all round growth and promotion.

Together we can make the world better by strengthening the younger generation. A change of status is marked by a major development in areas that matter. When you know the answers to questions, you smile at the question papers. If these children get it right with their hands at a tender age, (considering that they are not as privileged as other kids in glass houses are), they will eventually have it abundant in their purse and so they can train other kids too. It's a change chain reaction. We are going to make it happen.

We are Joyful faces and we will bring smile to every child.
