Why won't we use STEEM as a charity resource?

in #charity7 years ago

Dear STEEM users.

What do you think about helping out those who are in need of it?

I am from Ukraine, a country with a really low average income, a war going on and a politicians stealing money through corruption etc.

Me personally, always spend 5% of income on charity projects, especially those that help children, disabled and old people.

My proposition is to post some charity projects here and with the help of community donate collected money to those who really need that.

I attach some pictures of the charity project that I am constantly help out to. They are doing really great job. Each month they collect money to help different institutions like kindergartens with disabled and children without parents. It is sometimes really painful to see those pictures... not a lot of words to say. It is so simple to make poor children happy.

Please tell me what do you think about this?

Cryptocurrency for sure is a very nice way of putting money directly in the hands of the needy. If Steemit goes global and is accepted basically everywhere (or instead, Bitcoin is accepted in the relevant country), there is no better way to cut out the middle man.

The best way seems to have an active hands on local organisation that can be trusted who can obtain relief funds and put them to direct good use.

Another good example of what this tech enables us to do.
