Lawn Summer Nights - Fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis

Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Blockchain!

I'm writing this post in an effort to do a bit of solicitation for donations for a fundraiser my company is participating in. For the last two years, we've participated in the Victoria BC "Lawn Summer Nights" event where people gather, drink, socialize, and donate to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research.

Lawn Summer Nights is hosted in 10~12 different cities across Canada, and it's all in an effort to raise money for research in how to prevent / cure CF.

Cystic Fibrosis is a nasty disease that predominantly affects the lungs of individuals through consistent infections. Unfortunately, CF almost always defeats those that are affected with it, but over the last 30~40 years, HUGE strides have been made in treating the disease.

Typically, the average life-span for someone with CF was barely into the late teens, and living to see your twenties was a rarity. These days, the average life space has risen to ~45 years in developed worlds.

The wonderful Phillips Brewery , local to Victoria BC, is generous enough to be one of the sponsors and provide beer gardens for the event. 100% of the money raised from beer & food tickets get counted towards donations, so you can fund-raise just by being social and having a beer! It really is an incredible event in this community.
