Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits every week, nr. 5

in #charity7 years ago (edited)

It is Friday , and it is time for my weekly post for the kids. All proceeds from this post will go to @SchoolForSDG4, created by @azizbd, to help host a weekly fruit program for the kids. This week I would love to share a story of one of the students attending SchoolForSDG4.

But before we start, here is more info about the program: Crowdfunding Campaign for Our Weekly Fruits Program || Part 7 ||

The boy in the picture above is Al-Amin. Until last year this boy studied at school run by @azizbd, but suddenly stopped coming. As life is not always easy, he was forced to stop acquiring education, because he needed to support his family at the age of eleven. He is the only son, raised by a single mother.

He was reluctant to return to school, I am guessing, because he sees that as he is the only ''man'' in the house, he has to take care of his family, he has to provide. The problem with that is that without any education he might be forced to work a job that takes a lot of energy and brings little fruit. Without education his future options would be limited.

As @azizbd himself, growing up, has seen how the life in slums is, he tried to get Al-Amin to attend school again, so the boy has options when he grows up. Let me tell you, that @azizbd is going to look for solutions until at least one is found, he cares for the future of his people, his vision is for a world that is educated and fed.

@azibd decided to offer Al-Amins family as much of a financial support as possible, and as I have stressed this before, just to get the boy out of the slums @azizbd is willing to pay out of his own pocket. @SchoolForSDG4 is his passion project, it is personal, he is trying to create a future for kids, who otherwise would have close to no options.

What Al-Amin earned working in the market was 25 dollars per month with work of 10 hours a day. Now he is back at school, learning, hopefully for a better future. There are 50 children learning in @SchoolForSDG4, so obviously it would be hard to keep everybody in school if their families would need financial support, those kids do come from very low income families, but thankfully right now kids are staying in school.

Al0Amin back at school!

@azisbd is looking for a sponsor for Al-Amin, so if there is somebody willing and able (I am leaning strongly on ''able'' as we all have our lives and bills to pay), you can contact @azizbd on https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd. The sponsorship the school is looking for is the 25 dollars a month, that Al-Amin would earn working in the market, this money is important for him as it is meant to provide for his family.

If you are interested in something like this, have questions or any other thing that you want to discuss, feel free to contact @azizbd!

Al-Amin and his sister were the first students in @SchoolForSDG4, yes, @azis can't finance them forever, but if he gives them the tools, provides them with education, maybe, just maybe, one day they will be able to work reasonable hours and bring home more than just pennies, who knows, maybe they even open their own business!

All the pictures are provided by @azizbd, any questions about the project can be resolved with him, he will be happy to answer any questions if you are interested to help his project and have any idea about how to make it better. Heck, he will even get up at 4 AM in the morning just to talk to somebody about ideas. Here is a link to his steemit chat: https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd

If you would like to contribute by making a post, you can contact Mohammed ( @azizbd ) and he will provide pictures for you, anyone spreading the word is welcome. The income from the post can be sent to @schoolforsdg4, if you think you deserve any Steem for your hard work making a post, keep a part, even a small donation from your posts means a lot to those kids.

If you have any Steem to spare, donations are welcome. @schoolforsdg4 is where you want to send them.

If you can't spare any Steem, because I know everybody has their lives to live and expenses needing to be covered, a simple upvote is very much appreciated, a resteem is encouraged. :)

As I said, all income from this post will go towards the project, my rewards are set to 50/50 payout, but I have some other SBD kept in a safe place, so I will be able to forward all income from this post to @schoolforsdg4.

Thank you all for the support, it is greatly appreciated! Best of wishes for all of you, today, tomorrow and forever,
Linda

The world needs more people like @azizbd, I admire what he does for these kids. If I could spare 25 $ a month I would have done that. But I'm thinking about donating some instead and I will resteem this post. Thanks a lot for your engagement my friend <3
