Poem: World Without WorriessteemCreated with Sketch.

in #charity7 years ago

As the horse drags the cart away,
So does egoism drive the world astray
The poor for himself- the rich alike
Forgetting the world is but a hike
Desires of men- fathomless pits
Never satisfied, nothing ever fits

Race, colour, class and identity
The mothers of our infirmity
Ever changing priorities,
Lost opportunities
Our very existence
And the many pestilence

Shall one day be questioned
By the folks of our unborn nation
Yea, my unborn grandson’s grandson
Even my friend’s daughter’s grandson
Shall know the past follies were many
And sweat blood, like in Gethsemane

Stop and take a look!
At the words of the good Old Book
And prepare for the ultimate paradigm shift
When actions shall painfully run through sifts
Like swift needles piercing arms
And when this day comes

The “cats and mice deal” shall be over
And all shall be friends forever
