Para seguir soñando/ Ayuda a @antolinamartell

Hoy quiero dejar algunas imágenes tomadas del blog de mi amiga @antolinamartell.

Sobre ellas escribiré unas líneas para participar, de esta manera, en una campaña iniciada por los miembros integrantes de @equipocardumen para recoger fondos que serán depositados en la cuenta de nuestra querida artista, quien en estos momentos necesita pagar medicamentos de alto costo.

Antolina es una reconocida artista plástica que se ha ganado la consideración y el cariño de sus coterráneos con su don de gentes y el compromiso con los procesos culturales en la ciudad de Cumaná, en los que es parte integrante importante, ya que esta ciudad es su motivo más repetido.

Today I want to leave some images taken from my friend's blog @antolinamartell.

On them I will write a line to participate, in this way, in a campaign initiated by the members of @equipocardumen to collect funds that will be deposited in the account of our beloved artist, who now needs to pay for high-cost medications.

Antolina is a renowned plastic artist who has earned the consideration and affection of her countrymen with her gift of people and the commitment to cultural processes in the city of Cumaná, in which she is an important integral part, since this city is her more repeated motive.

Antolina ha vestido a mi ciudad con los colores más vivos y hermosos y ha recreado el transitar de sus gentes alrededor de nuestros espacios.

En ocasiones esos espacios se vuelven mustios, áridos, recalcitrantes y es entonces cuando más necesitamos la mirada de Antolina, para hacernos recordar cómo eran en el principio, cómo seguirán siendo siempre, a pesar de las pasajeras circunstancias.

Antolina y sus pinceles nos son necesarios ahora cuando la malicia es común. En estos tiempos tan difíciles que vivimos los venezolanos, los cumaneses necesitamos a Antolina como un antídoto ante la sordidez.

Ella nos obliga a mirar la esperanza cifrada en la ida de los niños a la escuela, en la madre que lo arregla y lo lleva de la mano, amorosa, sin percatarse tal vez, que con ese acto está salvando la cultura.

Antolina has dressed my city with the most vivid and beautiful colors and has recreated the movement of its people around our spaces.

Sometimes these spaces become musty, arid, recalcitrant and that is when we most need the look of Antolina, to remind us as they were in the beginning, as they will always be, despite the passing circumstances.

Antolina and her brushes are needed now when malice is common. In these difficult times that we Venezuelans live, we Cumans need Antolina as an antidote to sleaze.

She forces us to look at the hope of children going to school, in the mother who fixes it and takes it by the hand, lovingly, without realizing perhaps, that this act is saving the culture.

Mirando sus cuadros se la puede imaginar sentada en una acera conversando con amigos, observando los acontecimientos -grandes o triviales, públicos o privados hechos- que después volverán a ocurrir en el milagro que consuetudinariamente realiza el arte.
Por ejemplo, por el poder mágico del arte de Antolina, todas las mujeres de Cumaná se casaron vestidas de blanco, en nuestra Iglesia de Santa Inés. Y mágicamente también, todo el cortejo cupo en el blanco Wolkswagen que arrastró sus perolas nupciales por las calles de la ciudad paseando a la feliz pareja, bajo un cielo azulísimo, mirando el amado mar.

Un ser que puede, como ningún otro de reseñar el tiempo que le ha tocado vivir, haciendo hincapié en la eficacia de los métodos artísticos para conectar con lo emocional.

De manera que cuando veo esta recreación de Antolina, por ejemplo, puedo yo sentir el pulimento del piso, el aroma que desprende el agua mientras cae de la fuente, mezclado con el olor dulce de los helados que todos los niños desean.

Yo sé exactamente la edad de cada niño porque son los míos, mis hijos, mis sobrinos, mis ahijados, los que están dibujados. Y aunque no aparece en los anuncios recuerdo el nombre de las heladerías, recuerdo los años y me recuerdo a mí misma mirando hacia el escenario donde la banda toca allí, al lado del río Manzanares...

Quienquiera que mire el trabajo de Antolina Martell derivará de ellos una sensación de limpieza, amplitud y alegría que habla muy claramente de sus posiciones ante la vida, de sus deseos y sus sueños.
Entre esos sueños está el deseo de libertad. Con esa noción en mente dibuja papagayos. Ella escribió, en un post publicado en esta plataforma, la siguiente idea:

El juego del papagayo en el rey de los sueños. Tiene la virtud, si se le puede adjudicar a un objeto, de alimentar los deseos de libertad. Desde su construcción lo imaginamos volando alto y a nosotros, jubilosos.

Necesitamos los sueños de Antolina.

Whoever looks at the work of Antolina Martell will derive from them a sense of cleanliness, spaciousness and joy that speaks very clearly of their positions on life, their desires and their dreams.

Among those dreams is the desire for freedom.

With that notion in mind draw parrots. She wrote, in a post published in this platform, the following idea:

We need Antolina's dreams.
