Introducing our orphanage project and our future plans for ugandan less previlaged children..

This week has been precise with lots of activities to undertake especially in our organization “Lights of Hope” a home for orphans and abandoned children. As a project coordinator, I do most of my work in the field supervising and reporting on our most pressing LUWERO RELOCATION PROJECT.
Our current home in Kitende on Kampala- Entebbe airport highway is becoming smaller and cannot accommodate the children we can provide for or we hope to reach out to. We bought a big land in Luwero about 80 kilometres north of Kampala in the village of KIKYUSA.

WE ARE SELLING OFF OUR HOME IN KITENDE TO FINISH THE LUWERO PROJECT (70,000EUROS)

Our current premise in Kitende is a well-furnished residential house with 4 bedrrooms, a big sitting room and a dining, a kitchen plus a garage with two shower rooms. It has good water storage with three water tanks.
It is situated on a hill facing the New Kampala- Express highway next to St. Marys secondary School and the Newly opened St.Marys stadium. It has a private Milo land tittle in the Names of Lights of Hope international and can easily be transferred into the new owner’s name. It located within a residential area with a quiet neighborhood and security.

This house can be used as an office for a medium sized company, a kindergarten, NGO town offices, home for your family, retirement home or any other activity that fits in an organized residential area.

We are selling it at 70,000Euros (seventy thousand Euros) or 75,000US dollars (seventy five thousand US dollars).

OUR PROJECT IN LUWERO.

We have put up to structures which include a small two roomed house; one room with a borehole for water supply and store. Another room for accommodation of workers and contractors.
The second building is a future organization office building with a reception, office rooms and a restroom. We have also finished the septic and sewage.( check the website).
We have set a foundation for a four classroom block for the primary school and construction is ongoing.

ONE OF DIRECTORS FROM GERMAN Mrs. CHRISTINA METZKE VISITED AND WILL BE AROUND FOR THE NEXT 4 WEEKS.

She came down with her daughter Miriam Metzke who is doing her voluntary service as part of her course as a Social educator. Other volunteers and one sponsor will also be coming in the next two weeks.

Thank you for being part of our journey…We currently take in a few volunteers till we finish our project in Luwero. We plan to provide accommodation for our volunteers and Donors should they wish to come and meet the children or to teach them something.
