May 30 Days Writing Challenge - Day Seventeen: If There Will Be No Money Paid On Steemit, Would You Still Be Around? - My answer

Alright let's be honest with ourselves here for a bit, why are any of us on the steemit platform? Its fun right? true! what makes it fun is that you get to make posts, engage in contests, leave some good comments and get rewards for doing so. A lot of people who have never considered blogging in their entire life have had a change of heart and thinking due to the steemit platform, why? because it pays!

Why should I spend hours every day, blogging and chatting for free? why spend hours or days thinking about the next contest to organize or the next big headline? Hey don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it here but even in living your life, there are certain things and/or people that make life worth living, that make things enjoyable and interesting, well, that something for me on steemit is the rewards you get.

The all too familiar feeling of excitement when you make a post and you get huge upvotes or even little ones, there's a certain rush that everybody feels when they win something. Sometimes, you're so nervous after making a post, it's like you just released a movie and you're wondering if it'll do well at the box office, it's all too exciting when it does! and when it doesn't, if you're very good at self-motivating then you'd give it another go and if not? well...

Let's face the facts, a lot of the dormant or inactive users on the platform decided they had to skip town when they discovered the "doe" wasn't really as forthcoming as expected.

Even for those of us who are not quite in the big leagues yet but have remained faithful to our people and our community, we do so in the hopes that someday we will get there. But without such a hope, I personally would've jumped ship. Steemit promises a chance to grow both financially and intellectually as well as a means to connect with people across the globe. If you took the financial aspect of that growth away then steemit would be no different from facebook and other social media platforms.

I know definitely, some people would still hang around, i mean, everybody can't just leave? To those guys, I must say that you deserve some steemit accolades.

In other words, what I'm trying to say is...I love you all, but a man's gotta get paid, that's all. #honesty
