The first user I followed on Steemit is none other than the poker star @dougpolkcrypto!

I do not follow poker, so I have not heard of Doug until he hopped into the crypto space.

For those of you who don't know, @dougpolkcrypto has two crypto-related channels on YouTube: Doug Polk Crypto and Doug Polk Podcast. Doug and his team has produced over 60 videos in those two channels alone.

Why did I follow him? In short, I knew he was a celebrity who has a Steemit account. I thought it would be a great starting point to branch out and explore the platform. He has built himself a good reputation by being honest and educating people about cryptocurrencies through entertainment. I believe this is something even @fulltimegeek would agree.

Doug has covered various coins, called out scams/shady behaviors, and was part of the active voice against Bitconnect. In his podcast channel, you will see lengthy interviews with some of the prominent figures in crypto. He and his team produce high quality contents.

I'll be be honest, I learned my Bitconnect memes from Doug Polk! I would love to see him become the Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert of crypto space. Of course, he is currently less active in general while we traverse through the bear market.

We need more drama!

I would recommend @dougpolkcrypto to anyone who is involved in cryptocurrency.
