Nice one. We can't sit around waiting for governments of any nation to address sustainability in meaningful ways (although it certainly helps when they do). One note on the Obama era -- I was just talking to a neighbor who works for the EPA. He said the 8 years under Obama were rough because congress was controlled by the Republicans during most of the era, so funding was tight. He said the glory days for the EPA were during the Bush administration. I know, the EPA isn't the answer either, but I found that interesting.
Well, I don't see a difference between whether the EPA is funded well or not - these agencies are consistently staffed via the revolving door, so lobbyists and employees of the companies the agencies police are the ones who come in to do the policing. Funding isn't the problem. Cronyism is the problem.
