June 30 Days Writing Challenge - Life Hacks - Day Seventeenth: Keep Your Plans Away From Your Mouth

in #challenge30days6 years ago

It is already the seventeenth day of the writing #chellenge30days initiated by @dragosroua and here I am with another life hack that I'm sharing with you in today's post. In my previous post from this writing challenge I wrote about some psychological tricks to get rid of frustrations and today I will "talk" a bit about personal plans and why it is important to guard them.

Usually when making plans we are thrilled, excited and over confident on them and the outcome we see in these, thus we will like sharing our excitement with other around us so they can be part of our euphoria. Especially with closed one or supposedly trustful people, which too often is a bad idea, from two highly important perspectives that I'll explain to you right now.

The first thing that could happen with your valuable plan, or let's say business plan, is that it can be stolen. The way it happen with a friend of mine who during college had a pretty good idea about opening a small cleaning company in our home town. Which was a good one, but shared with the wrong person. Someone else was attending at our discussion when my friend told me in details how he plans on doing that, a pretty closed person, that knew exactly what to do with my friends plan in the near future. Put it into practice before him with almost all of the clients and strategies enumerated by him in the discussion.

Another situation that you can avoid by keeping your plans a secret until they materialize is somehow related because it supposes that you can also share them with the wrong people that would ruin them. They will not steal your plan this time, but they could envy you, and try to convince you in any way that it won't work and that it's better to think at something else as this one will "definitely not work". Even if you are very confident in you and your future achievement, the "seed of doubt" can be easily planted.

You'll find yourself sooner than later thinking that "you weren't" thinking at that what "he told you" and that yeah he "could be right". When he's actually not. So the best way is to keep your plans away from your mouth and let your results talk about them, in past tense. At least that's what I do, because I know my mouth very well...
As a conclusion I encourage you also to work on your plans in silence and keep them away as far as possible from any discussion. Sometimes even family won't share the same confidence and excitement with us thus silence is a great ingredient in making plans and putting them to action.

Now, if you found this life hack useful or at least interesting to read and don't consider it wasted time feel free to follow me for more, resteem it to others and why not give it an upvote. It won't make you any harm, but it would mean a lot for me as a "young" blogger on Steemit.

PS: If you like this writing challenge feel free to read the introductory post of @dragosroua and join the fun with your life hacks posts. If you find this man cool enough why not check his steem.supply app and see when you will be paid and how high is your potential growth on the Steem platform.
