Future of Ride Share, and blockchain

Rideshare

Looking at alternatives to finance uses of blockchain technology I came across a couple different start-ups using blockchain for ride sharing service. One is out of Israel, the other is out of Austin, TX USA.

La'Zooz

This is the first app I came across, currently it is not connecting to the servers, but the way it should work is when you have the app running and drive faster than 10 or 20 kph(I have seen both) you will be paid in zooz tokens. Right now the ride sharing part sounds like it is not yet completed so anyone driving could potentially receive the tokens. In part this is because they have been working on reaching critical mass, and collecting data.

Arcade City

Based in Austin, TX the current app on Google Play is v1.1. When it was released according to their Facebook page over 600 Uber and Lyft drivers signed up. This might be due to Lyft having lowered its rates, and Uber having been sued for lying about the amout drivers could potentially make. They even have a leader board of cities that they have drivers in for several countries around the world.

I'm looking forward to better implementation of blockchain technology! Any other non-finance uses of blockchain that are set to reshape the use of blockchain technology I would love to hear them!
