HOW DO I POST AN EMAGE UNDER MY COMMENT?

I've tried reading and Googling and can't find my answer so hoping you guys can help me out. Was going to join a Steemit Challenge and you had to post an image with your comment.

I open up a new tab i already copy the URL and paste to my comment and then
uploaded my image. I tried many times but i failed then tried to just use the shortened link hoping it would display as an image but it shows up as a link. My god!

Do I need to put any code or symbols around my links? How do I make an image show itself in comments?
