Mobile Phone Challenge Entry

in #challenge7 years ago (edited)

My good friend @long888 has a good challenge for a prompt. He has been very supportive of my Steemit journey so here I am supporting his Mobile Phone Challenge.

I'm not a phone person. For reasons, I am not into texting and I'm not into calling either but a phone is one of those things I can't live without. Ironically, I have 4 phones in my room and I would not have realized they were a handful if not for this challenge. One reason why I have a number of phones is because I don't break my phones. If they get broken, I fix them when I can. When I upgrade, I still have the old one. Each of the phones I have has a specific purpose.

The keypad phone is a Huawei and it is a house phone or room phone. That is free from the network for our Internet service.

The oldest phone, the dark one, is a Sony Xperia Z2. I bought it September of 2013 and it's the one I love the most. LOL It has died on me many times but I manage to fix it anyhow. In fact, it has a bad screen right now. It does not respond to touch, so what I do is hookup an OTG cable and use a USB mouse to navigate it. I'll change the screen and the digitizer once I get them shipped from the manufacturer because like I said, I love that phone. Its main purpose at the moment is, I use it as a modem for network 1. It plays my recent playlists and I take pictures with it. This used to be my mobile gaming phone but not anymore.

The iPhone 5s is a backup phone, it was a gift to me from my aunt. She lives in a country that is way behind in tech and gadgets, so when she comes home I tell her how old her stuff are and she buys new gears here and leave me with her old stuff. It works for me, right? I use this for Candy Crush. I also use the camera because it's decent, it has my old songs in it and I use it as a modem for my network 2.

The last and the newest but still obsolete is a Samsung, the biggest of them all. I got this last 2016, when I got sick with kidney failure. I bought this since I was bored being home and sick and I wanted to play Pokemon Go but then I got too sick and I wasn't able to really play the game since there are no monsters in the hospitals where I was frequent to go. This phone is maintained by my mom with regards to the bill and all because that's my phone for monitoring. She tracks me with a GPS tracker with it. It also has app sync for my health monitor that comes with my health bracelet that records my heart rate and other vitals. I need that because my mom needs to know where I am and what is happening with me because I have a chronic illness and I'm not supposed to be left alone but I insist on doing things my way. It's a big help having this phone with me at all times. Its screensaver has my medical alert information and my mom's number.

That's it, I am not into phones but I really need them in my life. I sometimes take them for granted and leave them anywhere but I am sure to bring at least 1 of them anywhere I go. They actually have names because I name all things essential to me. They are named after tactical weapons just like my other gears. Weird? Yeah I know. LOL

I'm inviting my friends to join in the fun of this challenge. Shouts out to @meetmysuperego, @korinkrafting, @fukumineko, @whitehatartist and @ismesikero.

Thanks for reading and keep steeming!

We also have a house phone like that. :) My papa even jokingly said that probably the reason why they call it a house phone because when you are outside, people might say you might mistakenly brought your remote control. LOL :D And yes, we had it for free too. From globe. :)
