Hmm I found this from Susan Hembree on Facebook: "Wow, I am surprised that so many people on here are confused by how you would do the final math on this problem. The bullets are each 10, as 10+10+10 =30. The guns are 5, as 10+5+5=20. The 2 clips are 2 (1 clip = 1), so 5+2+2=9. Notice in the final problem, there is only 1 clip (I didn't see this at first, so had to edit this problem, but there is only 1 clip in the final problem, not 2). Thus, the final problem is 5+1X10, which then needs to follow the Order of Operations. Thus, the multiplication needs to be completed first, then addition. I have taught math in both high school and college and that is the way it needs to be done. Thus, 5+1X10 = 5+10 = 15.
