Analysis:
Lauri Markkanen averaged 15.6 points, 0.9 assists and 7.2 rebounds during his season in Arizona. He is a tall shooting machine, 49.2% FG%, 42.3% 3FG% and 83.5% FT%. As I mentioned in previous draft analysis, he could be the next Dirk in the NBA.
However, it is not easy to be the next Dirk and he seems to me a defensive liability because with his height, he will be guarding the NBA PF or NBA C but he seems enjoy defending in the parameter rather and not quick enough to cover NBA Gs'. Bulls traded Jimmy Bulter for him, Lavine and Dunn, so the cost is high and I hope it will pay off for the Bulls.

I think this player is a good one..but your right..its hard to say that he will be the next dirk nowitzki.

Agree, and he is long way to go of becoming dirk, ans when dirk is in the NBA, he has a bunch of good coaches in don nelson and teammate of steve nash and michael finley. I am just worried instead of becoming dirk, his ceiling might be closer to ryan anderson.

Hi friend from finland. He has hope to become next dirk but it will not be easy, he already has good fundamental and have skill to play in todays NBA game but now he needs to get his defensive game up and hopefully one day he will really be the next dirk. Must be proud for your country:)
