Lakers made a move to get a late first round pick
Lakers just reported to trade d'Angelo russell and Tim mozgov to nets for brook Lopez and 27th first round pick.
Do you think the cost is too much for the Lakers?
It is pretty clear to me the Lakers will need to draft a point guard this year but interestingly there is rumors saying that Lakers is exploring a trade option for kings 5th and 10th pick.
If they trade down which mean they will not get ball but fox instead. Do you see a good fit?

Me too, ball seems like always their guy, but i am surprised when i see they will consider trading down with the kings. So excited with so many trades already in this year draft. Cant wait to see what next to happen.

Celtics is now considering two sf jayson tatum and josh jackson and it seems to me that they will pick tatum for now because they see him like paul pierce type of guy and in particular they already have jay chowder and jaylen brown, so josh jackson is not a good fit for them.
The Lakers did not make the move for the late first round pick. They basically just searched
for a deal to dump the terrible Mozgov contract to go for the big free agents next summer.
I could imagine further seeing another deal like this with Deng to make even more space.

Thanks mickwnz, this is indeed a very great point, the signing of mozgov last year turnout was very awful for lakers. However i guess paying angelo might be a heavy price for the lakers and guess they will definitely lock in a poing guard in this year draft and probably make an early move on paul george if pacers does not ask for too much.
yes, I agree totally with you and the Lakers have still Clarkson who can be a good backup behind whatever point guard they draft.
