STEEM and the quest for follows, upvotes, and resteems
Hi All,
Let me first begin by saying that clearly I am no expert on the inner workings of steem and/or social media, in fact up until now, I am usually a long time lurker first time caller type of guy but after a month or so here on steem I am distracted by the amount of content that clearly is just begging for the upvotes and follows.
Personally I believe if you write good interesting content you will be followed, you will be upvoted and in the process will make the steem platform a more rich and diverse place which in turns leads to everybody becoming wealthier. The million dollar question is what is good and interesting content, well you are never going to know until you start posting it.
My suggestions and yes please take them with a grain of salt are the following,
- Be original
- Fill a niche
- Write from your own words, you don't need to be Shakespeare
- Help others
- Enjoy what you do
Steem shouldn't be about making money, it should be about breaking the mold.
Anyway just a short and sweet post on what I have seen in the last week.

The secret to being popular is helping others
the best way toe arn a follower is to go find a helpfup or hardworking bt struggling minnow and give them at least a bunch of 1 cent upvotes! the whoel wall! if u have more than a 1 cent upvote good give em a wole bunch of $1 upvotes! THIS is what gets u ffriends an folowers! minnows end up buying steeempower sometimes and ur follower may end up being richerthan YOU are! a newb can end up buying his wahel into Whaledom like @gigafart and then all of the sudden the guy u were helping out is now helping YOU out wth fuckin $8 upvotes on yoru comments! And u gotta go hangout with @thejohalfiles go follow him and see what he likes, if u can impress him he might bestow upon you a mighty$400 upvote but its RARE but it HAPPEEND to me bro! and some of my Steemit #africa friends! out of nowehere a untarian post i made gets upvotes and it encorugd me to contnue my project! i am still in the process of building some radio and TV and billbaor ads for the new steemit africa market BUT i have to admit I coud be working more! and toomorow I will forgo y weekend as I always do, and i will work extra hard to gget a whole weks worth of worki done fppr my stee,it ad camapaign! i sincerely believe that if you ccan make a good vieo cartoon ad eiing steemit to newbs and redditors and facebook users, and then blat it as an google paid ad on youtube, with your own steemit name and link or people to follow that you ca TTALLy get followers that way AND convinc newbs interested in investing in teemit to make money with you buy buying steempower AND THEN UPVITING YOUR POSTS! this is a GREAt way to basically BULD YOUR OWN whales and dolphins! conviince people to buy steempower to help themselves, upvote your post,a nd the you both win!

I believe great content and consistent posting will get you followers. Begging for follows or F4F doesn't work.
