Google Trends - Who's Checking Out Our Front-Ends

in #chainbb-general7 years ago

Steemit is a worldwide community, that means people from all over the world contribute value to the network whether it's in the form of running a witness, organizing a voting trail or just producing content that you hope is valuable to others. As a nascent technology it will take some time to gain widespread adoption, but Steemit's efforts are helping drive awareness, and it's interesting to see where that attention is coming from.

Last 7 Days

Over the course of the last seven days, it seems that South Korea and Slovenia have really sought out information about Steemit. Hong Kong, China, Ireland and the Netherlands also seemed interested this week.

If any Steemians from these countries (or any country) has information about this spike in interest, leave a comment and let us all know!

Over the Past Day

I wanted to take a look at a more recent graph of who's checking out our network, and was surprised to find Pakistan leading the charge over the last day.

But South Korea is second on the list, so that means the interest there is still quite strong. I'm even more interested in what may be spurring interest in Steemit inside Pakistan.

Chainbb

Chainbb is younger but that doesn't mean it doesn't have trend data. It's great to see that the chart there at the end of the 30 day period seems to be quite positive, showing an increased interest in this nascent offering. There doesn't seem to be regional data as of yet, but I expect that to change over time.

This is more apparent in the 7 day chart, which shows many spikes and could herald increased traffic and attention.

I look forward to looking at next week's trends to see how Chainbb is doing, and I'll continue posting from there to show support.

eSteem

eSteem is an O.G. (Original Gangsta) of the Steemverse, and has a whole year of date to show. The great thing about eSteem is that it's only gotten better, more stable, the features have increased and the interface is slick. The notifications setting for my mobile device are what got me hooked at first, but my recent updated experiences with it have me going there more and more now.

1 Year Trend

This is what I would expect to see with an app this useful. This app has ridden alongside Steemit.com, and both have greatly upgraded their feature set since launch.

Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and the Philippines have been very interested in eSteem over the last year. Any Steemians have thoughts on what's driving the interest in eSteem? I wonder how Steemians in those countries are using the app.

30 Days

Snip20170610_15.png

It's still a smooth sailing situation for eSteem in the 30 day chart. If you look at the end of the chart, however, you'll see that the line is clearly moving upward and ending higher than the beginning of the month.

Over the course of the last 30 days, the United Kingdom, the United States and India have been seeking out information on a competing scale.

7 Days

On the weekly chart it seems that interest ended the week only slightly hire than when the week began.

Zambia has been most interested in eSteem over the last week, but again we see a burgeoning African interest in the growing in the front-ends of the Steemit blockchain.

Trends are looking good

These trends are all positive for a social network with multiple front-ends that hasn't been public for even a year yet. The future is very bright.

It's clear that awareness is growing all over the place, so the real question is why, and are there Steemians from any of these countries who'd care to weigh in?
