[Postcrossing]USA : Thurston the Master Magician + Cool video of Taiwan Magician on American's Got Talent
Howard Thurston (July 20, 1869 – April 13, 1936) was a stage magician from Columbus, Ohio.
He had a unhappy childhood, and when he was upset, he went to the circus, where he met his future magic show partner.
He was deeply attracted by Alexander Herrmann's magic show and had a dream of being a magician.

And finally, he not only dream came true, but almost the greatest magician at that time.
He was famous of playing cards, and the Levitation illusion.

The live:
Actually, it was not invented by Thurston. It was John Nevil Maskelyne's invention and the most famous one is Harry Kellar.
But Thurston's still great.
In 21th Century, nowadays, many of us know the trick. But at that time, it was a miracle.
I respect every magician who spends great number of times on the master pieces.
Thurston became the successor of Kellar, not only the show, also "Royal Dynasty" which is the Mantle of Magic a greatest honor to magician. Now it is own by Lance Burton.

Back to the topic,
this illustration is one of my favourite, almost the most favourite. Its arrangement of all element of show very well. Many colours but not noisy and Thurston in the center. I never make a swap request, but for this card.
The sender said this is the first time people asking for swap of the series of Thurston postcard. (published by Courtesy of Mike Caveney's Egyptian Hall Museum)
Actually, this series really attractive to me and if I have more card she from her favourite page, I will swap more :(
