[Postcrossing] USA : Buffalo
This is a postcard sent by a Italian young woman who lives in Buffalo, New York.
Buffalo - Truly the "Monarch of the Plains", the recovery through concerned planning and now may be seen in large herds in Western New York. --quote from the postcard
I know very little about the city, I've heard about schools and football :-/
But the look of buffalo reminds me a famous novel character, the Bull Demon King. xDDD stupid me

It is my imagination of buffalo. From the movie.
Buffalo grew rapidly in 19th and 20th centuries as a result of the Erie Canal, railroads and Lake Erie, and industrial base city.
There is a economy downturn in the latter half of 20 th century, but she successfully changed her base into financial services, technology, biomedical engineering and education.
Well done! And a good learning model.
She is called "The Queen City", "The Nickel City" and "The City of Good Neighbors," residents of Buffalo are called Buffalonians.

When I was reading the introduction of Buffalo, it reminds me the history of my city :P
My city was great in secondary industries, like electrical parts, garment, and also import and export trading center between Ease and West.
But with the Mainland China growing, factories all moves out for seeking lower labout cost. And there was a punch.
From now on, when I travel, I will 100% send a postcard to my friends and to myself, may be you could also try it:P
