[Postcrossing] Osterreich : Alps
This is a post card from Austria.
I haven't been in Austria, but she never absent in my high school world history lesson.
The view of Alps, with horses.
It is a breeze to me in the hot and humid Summer.
The stamps
Black and white photo:
It was taken by Margherita Spiluttini. She is specializing in architecture.
She is active in Austria and Switzerland.
Her husband is an architect, Adolf Krischanitz.
She is a major contributor to Austria's new wave of architectural photography.
A wide view of a nature with a artificial highway curve, a simple and stunning atmosphere on a small stamp. I like this stamp very much.
The typewriter (Schreibmaschine):
He is Peter Mitterhofer. He invented the first wooden typewriter.
And I found an museum of typewriter, with the first typewrite to the modern age, also the mysterious "Enigma".
It is just unbelievable to me, when I was small I played with the old style typewriter which has gaps and hurt my finger.
And later, I saw high form students bring a computer like computer to school and learn typing.
To me, I was taught typing with big and bulk desktop.
Now, everyone hitting on the screen.
Tomorrow, may be we just need to "think".

Bergkirche in Eisenstadt:
Bergkirche means hill church. It was built in the early 18th century.
"The "Berg" of "Bergkirche" could be interpreted in two ways: the church is built on a hill, but made taller by earth added at the time of construction. " (Wikipedia)
Haydn's tomb was placing in the church. Ludwig van Beethoven also led the premiere of Mass in C here (but unsuccessful).
