I am a Data Analyst in Hong Kong. I write stories about machine learning | Tech | AI and how they are related to business. 10 days to 70 followers. Thank you Steemit.
Hi, I work as a Data Analyst in Hong Kong and When I discover Steemit I think it would be a great time for me to share thought about what I am good at, Data science.
My job requires me to have knowledge in financial market (Equity/ M&A), machine learning (deep learning and natural language processing) and data management (Hadoop & SQL). As AI is a rather hot topic recently, I have a lot of fun sharing AI story and I receive a lot of good reviews.
A glimpse from my previous office
The reason I like Steem is that it is interactive.
The feedback from my followers usually will be my next topic, given that the hard work receives a good reward. I have tried a variety of topics.

Hello, may be it is a silly question, but i am really not in this field...i am a potato:S what exactly the machine learning do in analyses? is it just input all number and chart, then click "process", then done? :-/ is there any "behind the scene"? will you 100% precent trust it? if don't, how to adjust?
Hi potato.
So basically the prime task in machine learning work is to think of a customized machine learning model for different cases.
But I would say that most of my time isn't really spent in machine learning, but to pre-process the data, and how to normalize the data into different shape etc.
I also need to spend a lot of time to learn state-of-the-art model, and thats why I can read a lot of news and understand the logic behind some techniques nowadays : ).
What a view! Welcome :)
Thanks! If you are interested in my topic, please follow. I have follow you as well : ).
it is a very informative blog.....you may visit my blog also for interesting travel blogs i love to travel and i will be daily uploading about trips you can resteem my posts also ... follow me for interesting travel blogs
interesting post~!
although I can't fully understand your post, it blows my mind already.
looking forward to your post, Jim.
Nice article! I'm interested in machine learning, but I have no idea about this subject. Any background do you think I should have before start learning the MI?
A completely fresh entry can be a YouTube search for python and machine learning tutorial
Hey @jimsparkle. Do you have any pointers for someone who already is a developer of how to get into the field of data science? I'm pumped to get started but I don't have any guidance of where to start.
A good start is to join 1-2 kaggle competitions to understand the state of the art models and data processing skill. If you are already familiar with ML, your skill will soon be recognized and improve a lot
I just learned about Kaggle, will have to check it out in more details. Thanks! :)
Cheers bro
I think I know which building your previous office is.
My office got the same view haha
Nice to meet you here!
Welcome to Steemit. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! :-)
