I was looking at its repository, and it looks like it was made with Ionic, with is a mobile development framework based on Angular (or AngularJS? correct me if I am wrong it has been a while since I played with Ionic): https://github.com/eSteemApp/esteem
Yeah I feel like developer resources are still relatively scarce, making it difficult to develop apps. Unless you're building your mobile app with a mobile framework that's based on JavaScript or Python, you might have to build a Swift/Java/Kotlin API to the blockchain.
That's true. There's a lot of people in the Steem community, and I assume a good chunk of them are advanced developers, such as @jesta.
I'm a developer myself, but when it comes to mobile/web dev, I'm relatively a beginner. I'd like to develop Steem apps in the future as well, as I learn more and more about it.
