Japan trip day 7 Wakayama

On day 7, we went to Wakayama. It is located in the southern part of Osaka and it is the capital city of Wakayama Prefecture in Kansai.First, we visited the Wakayama Castle.It was captured by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1585 and it was destroyed in World War ll the it was rebuilt in 1958. It is one of the most popular historical site in Wakayama.The castle is made of Earth, stone and wood.It was built in ancient Japanese architectural style.
Through visiting the sites, I could understand more in Japanese history. The Wakayama Castle has beautiful views and I have been there for 2 hours to take photos and walk around the castle.Then, we moved to Wakayama Marina City, it is an artificial island in Wakayama City Bay. There is a Porto Europa Theme Park and the entrance fee is 1500 yen for adults and 900 yen for children. We played coaster, merry-go-arounds, Ferris wheel and water slide there.As there are not too many people, the queueing time is quite short and we can have sufficient time to play most of the sites there.We spent 3 hours there and we backed to hotel afterward.
