Romans in Pilsen - Římané v Plzni

A few years ago, I was in Pilsen in Doubravka Park witnessing the performance of the Romans, a historical group of Roman soldiers. These were the pretorials, who were Imperial Guard soldiers whose job was to protect the sovereign's security.

Here is a section about eight men, the so-called kontubernium.

Před pár lety jsem byl v Plzni v Doubraveckém parku svědkem vystoupení Římanů, tedy historické skupiny římských vojáků. Jednalo se o pretoriány, což byli vojáci císařské gardy, jejichž úkolem bylo chránit bezpečnost panovníka.

Zde je představen útvar o osmi mužích, tzv. kontubernium.

Prohlédli jsme si ukázky jejich výcviku, skvělou organizovanost a nechyběl ani dobový římský tábor.
