Hoy fui al cine y quedé muy impresionado por la película. Estoy seguro que ganará algún Óscar. Se trata de Loving Vincent. Su originalidad radica en que es una película de animación pintada al oleo. Aunque yo la vi en el cine, creo que ya está en Netflix.

La directora polaca Dorota Kobiela, antes de embarcarse en esta película colosal ya había destacado como una reconocida pintora y diseñadora gráfica. En este film, ella consigue combinar su pasión por el cine y por la pintura. Lo que inicialmente Kobiela pensaba que sería un cortometraje y que lo conseguiría pintar ella sola, fue ganando importancia y dimensiones. Al final, con su codirector Hugh Welchman, esta película se terminó diseñando para un largometraje de 94 minutos. Por esto, se precisó de 125 pintores para pintar cada uno de los fotogramas. Para este film de animación, se han realizado 65.000 pinturas al óleo usando la misma técnica expresiva de Vincent Van Gogh.
The Polish director Dorota Kobiela, before embarking on this colossal film had already stood out as a renowned painter and graphic designer. La escenografía se basa en muchos de los cuadros más famosos e Van Gogh, por lo que los cuadros cobran vida y resulta una sinfonía de emociones visuales. La banda sonara también está muy bien y es de Clint Mansell.
Uno de los recursos pictóricos y de animación que mas me emocionaron fue la animación de las pinceladas de los cuadros de van Gogh, moviéndose como en un torbellino siguiendo el surdo de las pinceladas vigorosas del pintor.

El argumento es el siguiente: Van Gogh cuando muere deja una carta dirigida a su hermano Theo. Su cartero (Joseph Roulin) encarga a su joven hijo (Arman) que la lleve en mano y la entregue a su querido hermano, pero, al haber este fallecido pocos meses después, se ve obligado a recorrer un periplo por la región de Auvers-sur-Oise con el fin de encontrar el destinatario más idóneo de la carta. Por ello, encuentra a los personajes más interesantes que influyeron en la vida de Vincent. Dorota Kobiela aprovecha así para hacer un recorrido por la vida de Vincent Van Gogh e intentar comprender porque se quitó la vida. Conoceremos sus pasiones, ansiedades, dificultades e intereses.

Aunque comenzó con la pintura a los 27 años, su forma de pintar de manera obsesiva y continuamente hizo que alcanzara a pintar 800 cuadros en tan solo 8 años. Solo vendió uno en vida. Murió sin alcanzar el reconocimiento por el que tanto luchó. Quería pintar con ternura, mientras que sus cuadros son explosiones de color, con trazos espesos de color puro e intenso.

Desde mi punto de vista, este gran pintor probablemente padecía algún tipo de enfermedad neuropsiquiátrica del espectro autista. Vincent tenía unas dificultades evidentes de relacionarse en sociedad. Era muy introvertido y no entendía al mundo. Quería ser amable y tierno pero el mundo le agredía al verle débil. Creo que tenía una dificultad para empatizar y comprender los sentimientos de los demás. Esta dificultad de feed-back con el entorno social le hacía no relacionarse bien con el medio dónde vivía, creándole ansiedad.
Como Vincent carecía de maldad, todo el mundo comprendía que era una buena persona. Sin embargo, su debilidad le hacía objeto de mofa y ensañamiento por parte de sus crueles vecinos.
From my point of view, this great painter probably suffered from some type of neuropsychiatric disease on the autistic spectrum. Vincent had obvious difficulties relating to society. He was very introverted and did not understand the world. He wanted to be kind and tender but the world attacked him when he saw him weak. I think he had a difficult time empathizing and understanding the feelings of others. This difficulty of feed-back with the social environment made him not relate well to the environment where he lived, creating anxiety.
Since Vincent had no evil, everyone understood that he was a good person. However, his weakness made him an object of scorn and cruelty on the part of his cruel neighbors.

A mí me parece que en sus cuadros se observa la ansiedad de Van Gogh. Los lienzos han sido pintados de forma rápida, vibrante y apasionada. Sus trazos parecen irreflexivos, como pintados por instinto.

Cuando terminó la película se hizo el silencio en la sala y poco después comenzaron los aplausos de reconocimiento en la oscuridad. Estoy seguro que en la ceremonia de los Óscar esta película alcanza un gran éxito y le otorgan el merecido “Óscar a la mejor película de animación”.
When the movie ended there was silence in the room and soon after the applause of recognition in the darkness began. I'm sure that at the Oscars this film is a great success and they give him the well deserved "Oscar for the best animated film".

Que curiosa, la buscaré en Netflix. Yo fui el viernes al cine a ver "Sin rodeos", la nueva de Santiago Segura que no tiene nada que ver con Torrente.
Si puedes verla en el cine, mejor. Los efectos audiovisuales igual se pierden un poco en la tele.
Ya he visto que no ganó el Oscar, es que la película “Coco” es muy emotiva .
Te recomendaría verla en el cine. Igual en la televisión pierden los efectos audiovisuales .
Por otro lado, veo que gano el oscar la película “Coco”, es que es muy emotiva...
