Hello community steemit, today I will comment a bit about a very interesting area which is a fundamental part of the Geophysics called "Seismic Interpretation".

What is the seismic interpretation?

The seismic interpretation is the obtaining of geological information derived from seismic data.

In the world of seismic interpretation, seismic data analysis is carried out to generate reasonable models and predictions about the properties and structures of the subsoil, where the geophysicist or seismic interpreter has the great task of designing these models by means of techniques and methods for to be able to highlight areas of interest in order to find possible hydrocarbon deposits.

The main method in the world of seismic interpretation is seismic reflection, which is a method of geophysical exploration that uses the principles of seismology to estimate the properties of the subsoil making use of reflected seismic waves.
