The scientist and theoretical physicist was born in Oxford, England, on January 8, 1942 (Capricorn, ascending Aries), with only 17 years he obtained a vacancy in one of the most prestigious universities in the world, the University of Oxford. For 1988 he published "A Brief History of Time", a book where he collected the studies of a life (until now) and where, in addition to presenting his theories and comparing them with predecessors such as Aristotle or Isaac Newton, he was in charge of presenting the universe and, even, that still does not have the same sense, in an easy, almost poetic way, always with humor and examples close to the everyday. In 1963 he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease that left him completely paralyzed on a physical level but not on a mental level, and so not only continued with his prolific work, but broke with the statistics exceeding the life expectancy of this condition. more than 50 years. El científico y físico teórico nació en Oxford, Inglaterra, el 8 de enero de 1942 (Capricornio, ascendente Aries), con solo 17 años obtuvo una vacante en una de las universidades más prestigiosas del mundo, Oxford University. Para 1988 publicaría “Una historia breve del tiempo”, libro donde reunió los estudios de una vida (hasta el momento) y donde además de presentar sus teorías y compararlas con las de predecesores como Aristóteles o Isaac Newton, se encargó de presentar el universo e, incluso, aquello que aún no entendemos del mismo, de manera sencilla, casi poética, siempre con humor y con ejemplos cercanos a lo cotidiano. En 1963 fue diagnosticado con esclerosis lateral amiotrófica, enfermedad que lo dejó completamente paralizado a nivel físico pero no a nivel mental, y así no solo continuó con su prolífico trabajo, sino que rompió con las estadísticas superando la expectativa de vida de esta condición por más de 50 años. Además de pasar a la historia por su trabajo sobre agujeros negros, relatividad y física cuántica, será recordado a través de las generaciones por inspirar a mirar más allá de lo que vemos a simple vista, por seguir la curiosidad y maravillarse con lo que nos rodea o, en sus palabras, “recuerda mirar hacia arriba a las estrellas y no hacia abajo a tus pies.
