The gargoyles made imposing shadows on the pavement below. He stared up at the tower. The climb to the top would take at least 10 minutes, which meant he still had 10 minutes to spare. He stopped at a hotdog vendor for a bite, as he knew it might be the last thing he would eat in quite a while. Wiping his mouth...he made his way to start the climb.
