   En esta ocasión he hecho un Fanart de un personaje del manga y serie animada Naruto Shippuden. Se trata de Otsutsuki Kaguya: el máximo enemigo con el que se enfrenta el protagonista Uzumaki Naruto junto a sus amigos ninjas en la Cuarta Guerra Mundial Shinobi.

   In this occasion I have made a Fanart of a character of the manga and animated series Naruto Shippuden. This is Otsutsuki Kaguya: the ultimate enemy that faces the protagonist Uzumaki Naruto and his ninja friends in the Fourth World War Shinobi.

   Pero vayamos de una vez con el contenido y en el camino les iré contando más cosas. ¡Que lo disfruten!

   But let's get on with the content and along the way I'll tell you more. Enjoy!

   Hace días hablaba con mi novia sobre mi afición por las figuras con cuernos (porque para quien no sepa me encanta dibujar figuras con cuernos) y en el momento me dieron unas casuales ganas de dibujar a una chica semi-humana semi-extraterrestre que tuviera unos bonitos cuernos.

   A few days ago I was talking to my girlfriend about my fondness for horned figures (because for those who don't know I love to draw figures with horns) and then it occurred to me to draw a semi-human semi-exterrestrial girl who had pretty horns.

   La cosa es que al llegarme la idea, de inmediato pensé que algo parecido ya se había creado, y entonces recordé a Otsutsuki Kaguya. Esto fue bueno, porque me hizo ver más claramente el tipo de dibujo que quería hacer, así que busqué el mejor dibujo de Kaguya que encontré y decidí que lo usaría como referencia para el aspecto de mi creación (aquí pueden ver el dibujo que escogí).

   The thing is, when the idea came to me, I immediately thought that something similar had already been created, and then I remembered Otsutsuki Kaguya. This was good, because it made me see more clearly the kind of drawing I wanted to make, so I looked for the best Kaguya drawing I could find and decided that I would use it as a reference for the look of my creation (here you can see the drawing I chose).

   En fin. Cuando ya tenía la hoja lista; los lápices, el bolígrafo y el borrador listo, pensé: "Oh, qué raro: nunca he hecho un Fanart de Kaguya". ¡Y tadaan! Así es como terminé dibujando a Otsutsuki Kaguya.

   Anyway. When I had the sheet ready; the pencils, the pen and the eraser ready, I thought: "Oh, how strange: I've never made a Fanart de Kaguya". And tadaah! That's how I ended up drawing Otsutsuki Kaguya.

My Illustration Process

Abro el dibujo hecho a mano con Paint Tool Sai y creo una capa nueva encima para empezar a hacer los trazos digitales.

I open the handmade drawing with Paint Tool Sai and create a new layer on top to start making the digital strokes.

Cuando siento que no falta trazar nada más, quito la capa del dibujo hecho a mano y me quedan los trazos digitalizados sobre los que voy a pintar en los siguientes pasos.

When I feel that nothing else is missing, I remove the layer of the handmade drawing and I am left with the digitalized strokes on which I am going to paint in the following steps.

Coloco los colores base a cada parte del dibujo: piel, ropa, cabello, etc.

I place the base colors on each part of the drawing: skin, clothes, hair, etc.

Coloco las sombras a la ilustración para empezar a dar profundidad. Empiezo colocando las sombras menos oscuras y luego las más oscuras. Suelo usar tres tonos, cada uno más oscuro que el anterior.

I place the shadows on the illustration to begin giving depth. I begin by placing the less dark shadows and then the darker ones. I usually use three shades, each darker than the previous one.

En este punto difumino las sombras.

At this point I blur the shadows.

Agrego los puntos de luminosidad a las partes del dibujo que quiero que se vean más iluminadas y luego los difumino.

I add the points of luminosity to the parts of the drawing that I want to be more illuminated and then I blur them.

Finalmente empiezo a trabajar en el fondo. Este que verán a continuación es de mi autoría, pero omito el proceso de creación porque no me parece necesario y además alargaría el artículo sin necesidad.

I finally start working on the background. This one that you will see next is of my authorship, but I omit the process of creation because it does not seem necessary and in addition I would lengthen the article without need.

Otsutsuki Kaguya

   Otsutsuki Kaguya, en la historia de la serie, es una mujer proveniente de las estrellas que un día llegó al planeta. Fue el primer ser en aprender, controlar y utilizar el Chakra, debido a que consumió el fruto del Dios Árbol, con el cual fue capaz de detener las guerras que había en el mundo. Fuente.

   Otsutsuki Kaguya, in the history of the series, is a woman from the stars that one day arrived on the planet. She was the first being to learn, control and use the Chakra, because she consumed the fruit of the God Tree, with which she was able to stop the wars that were in the world. Source.

   Con el paso del tiempo Kaguya empezó a perder la confianza en la humanidad, y el inmenso poder que poseía la empezó a corromper. Esto la llevó a la locura, provocando que las personas empezaran a temerle y a tratarla como un demonio. Fuente.

   With the passage of time Kaguya began to lose confidence in humanity, and the immense power it possessed began to corrupt it. This led her to madness, causing people to begin to fear her and treat her like a demon. Source.

   Y así, la historia de este personaje se alarga y se alarga de una interesantísima manera. Pero para no alargarnos más, lo único que me queda por decir es que a pesar de ser un villano, Otsutsuki Kaguya me parece uno de los personajes femeninos más hermosos que vi en toda la serie. Quizás sea por los cuernos, o quizás no. El hecho es que este personaje tiene una gran historia, un gran poder, y un hermoso aspecto alienígena; y por ello esta vez hice un Fanart suyo.

   And so, the story of this character gets longer and longer in a very interesting way. But for the sake of completeness, the only thing that remains for me to say is that despite being a villain, Otsutsuki Kaguya seems to me to be one of the most beautiful female characters I saw in the whole series. Maybe it's because of the horns, or maybe it's not. The fact is that this character has a great story, a great power, and a beautiful alien aspect; and so this time I made a Fanart of him.
