Cervantes Magazine Number 17: Videogames
Hello, Steemit community! We are dealing with a very hot topic this week in the Cervantes Magazine and as you can expect the videogame industry knows very well how to use Lust as a way to attract the audience and let the imagination of the users fly, so, we are going to talk a little about different Video games that use it in their favor.
Some examples:
An Acción and Hack and slash game from 2010, where the player has control of the protagonist, Dante the Templar. This game is based on the first part of Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy, where we must go to rescue our beloved from hell, by traveling through each of the 9 circles of hell, where 7 of them are represented by the capital sins.
Throughout the story we are shown each of the torments and misfortunes that the character lived during the Templar Crusades in the name of God, so we will have a very entertaining experience and some reflections on good and evil that sometimes we don’t bother to analyze until things happen. I Recommend this game for those who want to venture into this story.
2 - God of War Saga
This Action/ 3rd person adventure/Hack and Slash first came out in 2005, in this case we will only focus on the original trilogy, where the player controls who was initially a champion of the Olympian gods, Kratos, to fulfill a specific task that you need to discover by playing the game.
A peculiarity of each of these titles is a scene where the character interacts with beautiful women in a bed (very convenient) and the player is asked to make a series of Quick Time Events to satiate the lust of all these women and Kratos. Obviously in a very subtle way, but enough to allow the imagination of the gamers fly.
All of that is optional and the player's own choice, since those love encounters don’t have a direct impact in the plot, so if you want to you can skip the scenario and continue the journey.
3- Mass Effect Saga
This is a series of games of the ARPG and 3rd person shooter genres from 2007 and I personally have no words to say how good this trilogy is. In this title we embody the skin of Commander Shepard (You can choose to be male or female), an elite soldier to whom fate has prepared an adventure of an intergalactic scale.
What can I say about the trilogy? There’s hours and hours of gameplay without feeling bored, total immersion with history, a charismatic protagonist that evolves with the passing of events, a game where decisions affect the course of some situations and among those things we have love.
In this game we can interact with the characters, help them with certain favors, make compliments and other things that will allow you or not to engage in a loving relationship with them. In the first two deliveries you could only have heterosexual couples, the peculiar thing is that you could also interact lovingly with the females of the alien races.
In the third installment, homosexuality is included in the relationships created by Shepard.
Just Like in God of War, these situations only occur if the player wishes and wants to meet some prerequisites for this, as it does not directly affect the central plot of the game.
There are endless games that exploit lust in their stories, this is reflected in the way of offering Fan Service to the male population which is dominant in terms of consuming content related to video games (Nowadays you can see more female presence than a few years ago).
As I said before, the characters fulfill these burning actions only when the Gamer wants to. I have yet to see the first video game where you must have sex with a character in order to continue the plot, unless there is a recent XXX game that I have not played. Many times these additions blow the mind of the gamers as a form of entertainment and make the story a little more fun.
