Es uno de los máximos representantes del op art (arte óptico) a nivel mundial. Nació en Caracas Venezuela el 17 de agosto de 1923 aunque vive y trabaja en París desde 1960. Su investigación ha aportado al arte una nueva forma de conocimiento sobre el fenómeno del colorampliando considerablemente su universo perceptivo Aquí un folleto informativo sobre Carlos Cruz Diez y su gran aporte a la humanidad con el Op Arte.
