I know of people who would kill to be right. There are other character traits that can be corrected throughout life, but getting away from being right is like taking off heroin: you can, albeit with a lot of sacrifice. If you come to the world with that decline, you die with it. You die with reason, you are incinerated with reason, you get to hell with reason. Never argue with people in need of reason. It does not lead to anything, only to unhappiness. It is in political discussions that they are best distinguished. Being right is a way to cover ancestral wounds, remote abandonments. Being right is a way to get revenge. If you are right, your birth was not a mistake, your parents loved you, the sad childhood and the bitch youth were worth it. The world does not owe you anything, anyway. If you are right, you do not need to be subtle, intelligent or educated. Being right places you above good and evil. The phrase "to speak loaded of reason", in spite of its nature of common place, perfectly describes this pathology. To try to convince you of their arguments, the carriers of reason underline their speeches with gestures in which they express the absurdity of thinking otherwise. I know people I love and admire whose sole purpose in life is to be right. I feel a terrible tenderness for them because they remind me of times in my life when I needed to be right at all costs. I did not have to be right because it hurt my health, like tobacco, although I sometimes relapse and smoke a clandestine camel. Since then, whenever I discover someone carrying the reason I want to hug him and make him caresses while telling him that nothing happens by not wearing it.
