Censorship by Ommission: Deaths of 4 Russian Diplomats in Last 60 Days Go Largely UnnoticedsteemCreated with Sketch.

One of the most common forms of media censorship is censorship by omission. What subjects the media (MSM) deems as being newsworthy and those that are determined not to be newsworthy help to frame the public discourse.

When we see a story that is being echoed by major news networks and plastered across the front pages of media institutions such as the NYT and WaPo we should certainly debate their merit, but perhaps even more so, we should ask ourselves questions about what is not being discussed in the media.

Demonizing Russia

By now, we're all very familiar with the pathetic 'Russia hacking US democracy' story or the equally nauseous narrative of the dangers of 'Fake News!' These are important issues that need to be vigorously debated and discredited, yet i feel we must try to see beyond the established discourse and recognize subjects that get buried by the avalanche of attention placed upon certain MSM priorities.

The Russian hack story has been circulating for months even though no solid evidence has been presented in favor of the allegations.

Despite the absence of tangible evidence, outgoing US president Barack Obama went as far as expelling 35 Russian diplomats from the US in retaliation for the alleged hacks.

The MSM has kept this story alive trying to resurrect a cold war soviet boogeyman. Those who question the story are labeled as mouth pieces for Russian propaganda. Eventually, the media's portrayal of a Russian threat also played a major role in the resignation of Gen. Flynn Trump's top choice for National Security Advisor.
Although no fan of the general, Glenn Greenwald's article in the Intercept beautifully describes the dangers of selective leaks from the intelligence community.

Meanwhile, 4 top Russian diplomats have died this past year, the latest being UN ambassador Vitaly Churkin, and there's hardly any mention from the major media conglomerates. You have to wonder why this is not considered newsworthy? It definitely doesn't fit very well with the Russian boogeyman narrative. US diplomats are not mysteriously dying, but you can imagine the media outcry and escalation in war rhetoric with Russia if that were the case.

The Russian Diplomats

Andrey Karlov, Russian Ambassador to Turkey: Gunned down at an art exhibit by a 22 year old off-duty Turkish Police officer. (Dec. 19, 2016)

Andrey Manalin, senior diplomat at the Russian embassy in Greece: found dead in the bathroom of his apartment and originally 'appeared' to have died of 'natural causes'. There has been no official word on the cause of death. (Jan. 9, 2017)

Alexander Kadakin, Russian Ambassador to India: Died after a 'brief' unspecified illness. (Jan. 26, 2017)

Vitaly Churkin, Russian permanent Ambassador to the UN, died of an apparent 'heart-attack' in NY. (Feb. 20, 2017)

Most of these diplomats played key roles for Russia: Karlov as a key negotiator in the areas of Russian/Turkey relations and the war in Syria. Kadakin was instrumental in procuring new energy and defense agreements with India. The death of Churkin was especially painful for Valdimir Putin, who has long respected his diplomatic skill and long service to his country. At the UN, Churkin was involved in defending Russia's engagement in the Syrian conflict and he was also a vocal supporter of initiating a thorough investigation into the KLA's (Kosovo Liberation Army) activities in organ harvesting from 1998-1999 in Kosovo.

The deaths of these key Russian diplomats have all come in less than 2 months. It's not possible to determine if the deaths in disparate corners of the earth are somehow connected, but there appears to be a dangerous trend emerging for Russian diplomats and ambassadors.

that many? wow thanks for sharing these details, haven't heard anything about it until now

yeah, i first read about it a few days ago and it said 4 deaths in 1 year, but then looking into it further i realized it was 4 in 2 months...pretty crazy.

Conducted some interesting research on the Russian ambassador to Turkey's assassination the day it happened: http://pizzagate.wiki/Assassination_of_Russian_Ambassador_to_Turkey

Definitely interesting how the photographer managed to get all the epic action shots. I really love this one:

assassin

Awesome man...we're consistently on the same wavelength!

It's interesting that the photographer captured the entire sequence, nerves of steel that guy

You can tell from the video and the other photos that the rest of the crowd was certainly not as brave. I felt like this was either some guy's job or a cameraman's moment of destiny, haha.

jag sär på tv i december thanks
